Acer has announced a more budget-friendly 4K 144Hz gaming monitor dubbed as the Acer Predator XB273K. Unlike the expensive Acer Predator X27 with full-array local dimming (FALD) and G-SYNC HDR, the XB273K will only feature DisplayHDR 400-certified HDR10 support without FALD or quantum dots. The full-array local dimming of the X27 4K 144Hz monitor consists of 384 individual zones which helped control the backlight for the best image quality. Moreover, it has a peak luminance of over 1,000-nits, a superior static contrast of 20,000:1, and a wide color gamut for HDR content. All of that accumulated to its exceptional high price.
