2. Shunt DC motors:

3. Series DC motors:

Series motor is another sort of DC motor which is consisting of large wires and it carries the full armature current. This sort of motor cannot regulate speed and due to this, it can damage when it is running in different applications. So it is a not good option in various applications. However, you can stable the energy by the boost converter. If the output supplies the current in its right amount, so it will not be a problem when it comes to speed factor.

4. Compound DC motor:

This is like the series motor as it cannot control the output current in variable speeds. It cannot take the energy from the DC input. Due to the variation of the voltage, it cannot control the variable speeds of the applications. However, when you use railway DC DC converters for power supply, this motor consume the energy that is apt for its output.
