OnePlus is much rumored to launch another mobile phone this year, the Oneplus 5T, which is believed to be the flagship OnePlus 5’s mid-cycle upgrade. The OnePlus company has started teasing the smartphone on social media. Additionally, we might have been given the first glimpse of the OnePlus 5T in a leaked render.

Prolific smartphone tipster Evan Blass has shared an image claimed to show the top front panel of the upcoming OnePlus 5T. “Top-half of OnePlus 5T,” Blass said in a tweet showing the device. The OnePlus 5T is said to be the Chinese company’s first all-screen phone and was reportedly up for pre-orders in China ahead of launch.

The mobile phone is said to sport a 6.0-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. Separately, OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei has tweeted out a picture teasing portrait mode from the upcoming OnePlus 5T. The shared image from the handset seemingly confirms that the launch is imminent.

OnePlus 5T specifications

The leaked retailer listing from last week claimed some of the specifications including 6-inch Quad HD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and it is said to be powered by 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked processor. It is likely to come in 6GB and 8GB RAM options with 64GB and 128GB storage respectively. On the Camera front, the smartphone is said to sport a 20 MP rear camera coupled with another 16 MP sensor, making it a dual camera setup at the back. It is also said to have a 16 MP front camera. These specifications all match with OnePlus 5, however, differences include a larger 3450mAh battery and a larger 6-inch display, while with some reports claiming a full-HD+ resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels. It is also thicker than the OnePlus 5, weighing in at 164 grams. The thickness is said to be identical at 7.25mm, but the smartphone will be slightly wider and taller at 157×75.4mm. The smartphone is rumored to support global 4G LTE bands and support 34 network bands.

The alleged OnePlus 5T recently made an appearance at the AnTuTu benchmark suggesting the OnePlus A5010 model name and listing similar specifications apart from a 20 MP front camera, and a boost of the rear camera.
