Xiaomi Redmi 4A launch in India, bringing another low-cost 4G VoLTE device to the intensely competitive budget headset segment. The smartphone price bracket already has a few popular devices, such as Xiaomi Redmi 3S, Lenovo Vibe Plus and Lyf Water 10 so the addition of Redmi 4A gives consumers yet another good option in a segment in which they are already spoilt for choice. We take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of the four 4G VoLTE device.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. The device runs Android 6.0.1 and is powered by a 4100mAh non-removable battery. The device connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is powered by 1.2GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The headset packs 16GB of internal storage (ROM) that can be expanded up to 32GB via a MicroSD card. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus packs a 13 MP primary camera on the rear and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies.
The Lyf Water 10 is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The device packs 16GB of internal storage (ROM) that can be expanded up to 64GB via a MicroSD card. The Headset connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India. The Lyf Water 10 device includes a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
