Snowfall is an American crime drama television Series which is created by John Singleton and Dave Andron. The show started its first season on September 30, 2016, with a series of ten episodes. The series tells about the lives of characters like Franklin Saint, Mexican luchador, Teddy Mc Donald, Lucia Villanueva, the daughter of a Mexican crime boss.

The show revolves around the first crack epidemic and its impact on the culture of the city. The drama has stories inspired by truth and shaped by the street life in South-central L.A and the story is well crafted.

Snowfall has a decent narrative and there are interesting characters that are surprising. It’s one of the best shows of the year and the story is narrated in an amazing way. A luxuriating orange glow and sunlit lens fares on the screen is a result of amazing camera technique.

Los Angeles where the snowfall is shot is oversaturated with aviator sunglasses and tidy little mustaches. You can find the scenes in which the poor Mexican immigrants sleep in their cars after jobbing all over the day. There are scenes in which the police make a showoff stopping in black and Latino neighborhoods are really thrilling. As the TV series goes on its all about a calm life in South-central.

The actor Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) comes on the screen as weed runner and a stock boy and tries hard to find an opportunity to turn around a brick of cocaine. The boy goes to a house to pick up a 200 worth of powder for his rich friend’s girlfriend and the story goes on narrating the life of Franklin and the incidents that come to his life

Franklin who is a teenager in the Series doesn’t like to go to college since he doesn’t want to feel like an outsider and lives his life doing small works.

Franklin at the center, snowfall becomes one among the beautiful show. Franklin steals every frame or scenes he is in. Idris a young British actor gives Franklin a potential energy that comes when he is smiling or laughing. The actor steals every scene he is in and his friends, family, community makes up the most lived in and enjoyable moments of snowfall

Though the show is skillfully made, it suffers a few issues like bloated storytelling

The series not only explains about Franklins harrowing journey but also follows Oso (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), a penniless wrestler who hustles money for rich drug lords and Teddy (Carter Hudson) and exiled CIA officer who discovers an off-book cocaine smuggling operation, run and approved by CIA
