Mobilyze Data Scientist at FreeWire Technologies

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify, organize, and analyze various disparate data layers related to electric vehicle adoption and driver behavior.
• Generate and interrogate hypotheses on the factors that influence the usage of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Build and validate statistical models to forecast usage of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
• Analyze and synthesize insights from public charging session data.
• Build tools to quantify how utility tariffs impact the financial performance of public electric vehicle charging stations.
• Design and build tools to optimize the performance of networks of charging stations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, and Unix command-line tools.
• Experience with geospatial analysis and visualization tools such as PostGIS, GeoPandas, OpenStreetMap, MapBox.
• Familiarity with data warehousing tools like Snowflake, Clickhouse, Redshift, BigQuery, and experience with analyzing time series data.
• Broad knowledge of statistical, probabilistic, and machine learning-based modeling approaches, with a good judgment of where to apply them.
• Quantitative, analytical mindset, with a knack for translating real-world problems into useful models that generate insights.
• Ability to write clearly and create beautiful and compelling visualizations of insights and findings.
• Problem-solving ability and determination to progress complex analyses independently.
• Team player with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.
• Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment.
