Osun Election Update: As Nigerians and the entire people of Osun State awaits the results of the gubernatorial polls held on Saturday, 22nd September, 2018, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the result of the Election as ‘INCONCLUSIVE’. This declaration was made in a statement issued by INEC’s Returning Officer for Osun’s Sept. 22 guber-election, Prof. Joseph Fuwape.
In his speech, Fuwape who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), said that the election which was held across the 3o Local Government Areas of Osun State has a lot of misconduct, with the cases of ballot boxes snatching in some polling units during the election being the pronounced among them.
Meanwhile, after collation, Prof. Fuwape announced the results that are made available from different polling units. According to the result, PDP candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke is leading the train, followed by Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Osun Re-Run Schedule for 27th September
Due the malpractice evident in the 22nd September polls in the State, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) have slate a re-run of the elections. The date for the re-run is on Saturday, 27th September, 2018.
The commission promise to use every instrument within its power to ensure a peaceful and transparent re-run of election in Osun come this Saturday. And plead that anyone or group who is/are involved in any kind of misconduct or thuggery should decease from it.
