Its a no secret that Hyundai is all set to re-introduce Hyundai Santro 2018 launch in India. The new Hyundai Santro has been developed from scratch and is going to compete with Renault Kwid.
According to un-official sources it is expected that this car might be launched between October to December this year.
Hyundai has stopped Santro's production and replaced it with i10.And now it is going to stop i10 and re-start Hyundai Santro 2018 , albeit , in a new avatar.
Recently , the car was spotted while testing but details could not be disclosed as it was completely covered.By the wheels it seemed that the test model was a top model variant of the hatchback given with rear shield wipers , block head lamps and mounted tail lamps.The rear portion of the production ready test vehicle suggested that it has a completely re-designed body.
The car will receive 0.8L and 1.0 L petrol engine options.The engine will get 5-speed manual transmission and due to increase in the interest in AMT version by the buyers the car might also receive an amt variant.
It will compete with Renault Kwid which has 800cc and 100 cc variants (plus amt models) in the market.The Hyundai Santro 2018 likely to price ranging in-between INR 3.5 lakh to 5.5 lakh.So , the top variant will possibly cost around INR 5.5 Lakhs.
