The popular compact SUV Ford Ecosport in its latest 2018 update has now received a petrol-powered manual transmission gearbox.The company has introduced a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox in is Titanium+ petrol variant.It was , so far , only available with a six-speed automatic gearbox and now Ford has added this 5-speed option.
The 1.5L Ti VCT petrol engine equipped with 5-speed MT delivers 17kmph mileage.
The premium segment SUV model has been priced at Rs 10.47 lakhs.It is Rs 83,000 less as compared to automatic version.
The Ecosport in the segment competes with Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
Titanium+ variant features 8-inch tounchscreen infortainemtn system that supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play.It features with a rear parking camera , Automatic Climate Control , Cruise Control and most importantlt 17-inch alloy wheels.
Along with ISOFIX child seat anchors , it also comes with 6 air-bags in its safety features.
Commenting on the launch of the launch of this variant, Rahul Gautam, vice president marketing at Ford India, said, "Since new Ford EcoSport was introduced, our customers have been demanding a top-of-the-line Titanium+ petrol manual variant, offering enhanced safety with six airbags." "In our commitment to meet customer demands, we are pleased to introduce this variant and offer a greater choice to our customers," he added.
