Honda may introduce its 2nd Generation Amaze sedan in India some where around May-June this year. In this upcoming overhauled Honda Amaze 2018 model the buyers will notice an increased space along with a new bold chrome front grille.The new sedan will compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.

The new Honda Amaze car might see an increased space and improvements in every part of the car.The new front grille will connect with the head lamps.The bonnet of the car has been re-designed.The increased wheelbase in the car will provide more cabin space.More over , cabin of the car will be less noisy due to double door banding.

The upcoming sedan will also get Auto Climate Control , Rear Parking Sensors , Rear view Camera , Push Button Engine start-stop and Passive Keyless entry features.On safety front it might include features like- dual airbags , ABS , EBG in standard features.The changes to the outside may include  10-spoke alloy wheels.

New Amaze Uses New Platform - BRV

Honda's new Amaze willbe based on BRV platform.This sedan is likely to be the first car by Honda to receive a CVT gearbox in its diesel variant.It will have 2 engine flavours - 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel.

Existing Amaze Model

The existing Honda Amaze is available in 1.2 litre, 1198 cc, 4 cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 87 bhp of power at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 109 Nm at 4500 rpm.Its 1.5 litre, 1498 cc, i-DTEC diesel engine makes a maximum power of 99 bhp at 3600 rpm and a peak torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. The petrol version has a mileage of 17.8 kmpl while the diesel engine Amaze has an ARAI-certified mileage of 25.8 kmpl.

Both the engines come paired to a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox.
