Maruti Suzuki India is planning to introduce Factory Fitted Swift Dzire Tour S CNG model in India.This information came out from the transport department circular.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Tour S is based on old generation Dzire and has been quite popular among the taxi and fleet operators.It is due to a surge in demand might have been tempted to launch bi-fuel (petrol & CNG) model which has both petrol and CNG option.

The possible CNG version of Dzire S has the dimensions as the 2nd generation Dzire . It measures 3,995 mm in overall length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,555 mm in height.

The BS4 version has a wheelbase of 2,430 mm and the car weighs 1,480 kg (gross weight). The sedan has a seating capacity of 5 passengers.

CNG Kit will be fitted to existing 1.2L K-series 4-cylinder petrol engine of the sedan.

In terms of power output in petrol version , the engine produces 83 BHP @ 6,000 rpm.The power that you will receive from the car in CNG mode is 70.4 BHP.The engine has 5-speed manual gearbox.Dzire Tour S CNG will be based on the lower - LXi model.Its engine has a displacement of 1197 cc.

With an ARAI certified mileage of 20.85 kmpl in petrol , Swift Dzire Tour has a fuel tank capacity of 42 litres.It has a top speed of 168 kmph.

Power steering , front power window and dual airbags are among its basic features.
