Maruti Ertiga New Model 2018 facelift might be launched in August 2018.Ertiga , one of the best 7 seater mpv's in India , first made its appearance in India in 2012.Under a mid-cycle update in 2015 the 7 seater mpv got some updates.
The 2nd Generation Ertiga is codenamed as YHA and was recently spotted in Delhi under testing.According to auto industry sources , the upcoming Ertiga 2018 model will deliver better efficiency.Its 3rd row seating has been made more spacious as well.It will further get a new alloy wheels and have refreshed grille and bumper design.
New Generation Maruti Suzuki MPV is also based on Heartect platform which has been successfully used by all new Swift Dzire and Swift hatchback.
There has been changes in the dimensions of the car.Apart from increased space it will also be longer and wider than current Ertiga model.It will create extra space for passenger luggage section.
The model that was spied under testing in Delhi had new tail lamps , bigger over-hangs and rear shield vipers.It is expected to get DRL-LED lights and projector head lamps.A redesigned dashboard and improved safety and comfort feature is also speculated to be given.
Engine Specs of upcoming Ertiga 2018
It is being said that 4-cylinder Maruti Ertiga SUV will be introduced with a 1.4 L petrol engine.There are assumptions that Maruti is also developing a 1.5L diesel engine.This engine will replace its 1.3L oil burner fiat engine.It is expected to get 5-speed manual and AMT options.
Maruti Ertiga New Model 2018 rival is Honda Mobilio
The car is going to compete with Honda Mobilio which is based on MPV platform.Like Ertiga , Mobilio is also a 7 seater mpv with an aggressive look.It has an under body cladding , bigger roof-rail , 16 inch alloy wheels and bigger windows.Honda uses 1.5L petrol and diesel engines in Mobilio.
