Confirmed: Wanyama to Spurs

The Tottenham Hotspurs has announced the signing of Southampton FC midfielder Victor Wanyama, who will remain with the North London club until 2021.

This rumor has been dragged on for quite some time following Mauricio Pochettino's move from Southampton to Tottenham, which suggested he would bring along some of his favorite players.

Throughout all of the past transfer seasons, it was always believed that Wanyama would be on his way to London, however, Southampton head coach Ronald Koeman believed that the Nairobi native was a huge part his side and refused to let him go.

Following Koeman's recent move to Everton, the gates have been opened for Southampton players to move on to other ventures, causing Victor Wanyama to link up with his old Argentinian manager Pochettino.

It's hard to say where Wanyama will fit with the side due to Tottenham's excess of strong central midfielders, including Moussa Dembele, Nabil Bentaleb, and Ryan Mason. However, recent transfer umours suggest Mason and Bentaleb could be on their way out, opening a potential starting spot for Wanyama.
