It’s been a fairly quiet January transfer window so far. With the Premier League’s big boys either motoring along nicely or in a state of flux, big deals have been few and far between.

Arsenal have added some muscle to their midfield in the shape of Mohamed Elneny, Liverpool have signed Marko Grujic, Chelsea have bagged Alexandre Pato, Manchester United have recalled Adnan Januzaj and well that’s about it so far from the big clubs. Most of the business this January has been done by the likes of Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Norwich City and Sunderland – the clubs fighting for survival.

But fear not, it’s Deadline Day! Clubs across the country have until 11 pm (4:30 am IST) to carry out their business and there are likely to be plenty of comings and goings. Here we provide a rundown of what could happen at all 20 Premier League clubs..

ARSENAL

In – Mohamed Elneny (Basel).

Out – None.

What they need – Striker, left-back.

Who’s in the frame – Ben Chilwell (Leicester), Lelechi Nwakali, Samuel Chukwueze (Diamond Academy).

What could happen on Deadline Day – Mathieu Debuchy’s loan to Aston Villa. Yaya Sanogo and Serge Gnabry are set to come back from loans at Ajax and West Brom respectively and then get farmed out again. The Gunners are likely to confirm the signings of Nigerian wonderkids Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukweuze from Diamond Academy but there won’t be any big-name additions on deadline day. Probably, shouldn’t bother staying up late, Arsenal fans.

ASTON VILLA

In – None.

Out – Philipe Senderos (Grasshoppers, free), Tiago Ilori (Liverpool, loan return), Jose Angel Crespo (Rayo Vallecano, loan), Joe Cole (Coventry, free) and Joe Bennett (Sheffield Wednesday, loan).

What they need – Striker, keeper, right-back, defender, midfielder.

Who’s in the frame – Papiss Cisse (Newcastle), Lamine Sane (Bordeaux), Mathieu Debuchy (Arsenal), Michu (Langreo).

What could happen on Deadline Day – Remi Garde is anxious to make his first signings as Villa boss but the bottom club have admitted they will not “cripple” themselves trying to stay up in the face of likely relegation. Targets include Newcastle’s out of favour striker Papiss Cisse, Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane, Arsenal full-back Debuchy and former Swansea forward Michu.
