Game-week 2 of The Premier League came to an end, and its has indeed acted as a major eye opener for many FPL managers as Brighton thrashed Wolves 4-1 to go top of the table and Manchester City edged past Newcastle United to secure their second win in two games.

The Game week however was an eye opener for managers owning Chelsea and United assets as both of them had disappointing displays against West Ham and Tottenham respectively as they lost to them by a deficit of 2.

Here are some of the moves you can make early on for GW 3 :

Hold Chilwell: Chilwell was one of the most transferred in players for the second game week as he had a brilliant display against Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge, bagging an assist and getting a total of 5 points.

Chelsea however, suffered a shocking defeat against West Ham, despite them being down to ten men and the blues dominating the game by a large distance.

However, Chilwell owners shouldn’t be looking to replace the Englishman as his underlying numbers show that a major performance from the left back isn’t far away.

Chilwell has an Expected goal involvement or xGI of 1.1 in his first two games, and against a team like Luton Town, a haul could be on the cards for the Ex- Leicester City player.

Keep an eye out for March: Solomon March has been on an absolute tear at Brighton and chances are he could be quite overlooked by other managers and prove to be a major differential as other managers will be focused on Karou Mitoma and Pervis Estupinian as their assets from Brighton.

March is the joint top scorer of the league with Mbeumo, bagging 3 goals in the first two games against Luton Town and Wolves. In GW 3 Brighton face West Ham and a return seems to be the most likely outcome from the right winger.

Despite his amazing run of form, March has an incredibly low selection rate of a mere 6.7% which is the same as Almiron and Declan rice which goes to show how overlooked he is.

Look to add a Tottenham Asset: Tottenham absolutely schooled Manchester United in their own backyard as they faced off in the GW 2 fixture, wherein Spurs breezed past the Red Devils to achieve a comfortable victory of 2-0 against Erik Ten Hag’s men.

It would be quite intriguing for FPL managers to see that Spurs, who are infamously known to have one of the leakiest defenses in the division managed to keep a clean sheet against United.

The interesting aspect about how this team plays under Postecoglou is that, fullbacks are given a lot of attacking freedom which is why players like Udogie and Pedro Porro could be a great differential as Tottenham have arguably one of the easiest runs of games in the next three game weeks including fixtures against, Bournemouth, Burnley and Sheffield United.

Along with defenders, you can even look to add attackers from the North Londoner’s side including players like Maddison and Richarlison. However, as they above tweet showcases, Maddison left the United game wearing a protective boot, but it would be advised to wait for an official update from the club as he is a major asset going into GW 3.

Watkins to Jackson: This could be an interesting move heading into GW 3 as both had underwhelming showings against Everton and West Ham respectively.

The move, however, is based off of the fact that Watkins tends to shift off to the left and Diaby plays a lot more centrally and the fact that that Aston Villa were awarded a penalty that Watkins himself won but Douglas Luiz was the one taking it, is worrying as it looks, he won’t be on pens anytime soon.

Coincidentally, Chelsea also won a penalty against West Ham, which surprisingly, Enzo Fernandez took and missed which increases Jackson’s chance of being on them when the opportunity comes knocking the next time.

Along with his easier run of games and cheaper cost, his potential penalty taking duties can be reason enough to make the jump to Jackson.

Invest in Man City: Manchester City look to be the most sought-after team in FPL as they face a relatively comfortable run of fixtures, which includes the likes of Sheffield United and West Ham.

However, it is important to keep in mind about the infamous Pep roulette but some players seem to be immune from this as the club faces a injury crisis at the moment.

Long term injury to Kevin De Bruyne secures Phil Foden’s place in the XI, his MOTM performance against Newcastle United where he provided an assist to Alvarez for the winner shows he is able to bring back major returns against a fairly easy run of games.

City also look to be the most likely of the teams to keep a clean sheet and Ruben Dias looks to be the most ideal candidate to be added to your FPL squad.

Since, Gvardiol still looks like he will take time to adapt to Pep’s system and Ake can rotate the Croatian. Another asset can be Manuel Akanji as he was seen paying in that John Stones’ double pivot role and looks like he will continue to do so until Stones is fit.

One thing to keep in mind while making your GW3 transfers is that the transfer window will be in its full swing at that time and new additions can be made to teams and transfers should be made keeping this in mind. The deadline for the window is 31st August.
