FPL Preview: Meet the Priciest Stars and Cheapest Picks from each Premier League Team

The 23/24 Edition of The Fantasy Premier League is set to begin from the 12th of August, which is when the first Matchday of The Premier League is played. FPL managers are given a budget of 100 million to create an interim 18-man squad for their respective team. So, here is a list of the most expensive and cheapest players from each Premier League club that can Potentially be added to your FPL squad.

Manchester City: First up are the title holders, Manchester City, and the most expensive player from Pep Guardiola’s side is Erling Haaland whose price as the most expensive player not only at Manchester City but the entire FPL market was a given rather than a shock. The Norwegian is Priced at 14.0M and the most selected player in every squad with a selection percentage of 86%. Whereas the cheapest Player from Manchester City is defender Sergio Gomez priced at 4.0M who averaged just 29 minutes per game last season and managed to bag a single assist in his 12 appearances in the league.

Arsenal: Next are the North Londoners who finished second last season and the most expensive player from their side is a draw between club captain Martin Odegaard and right winger Bukayo Saka who had 22 and 25 goals and assists respectively which justifies their risen prices at 8.5m this season.

The cheapest is second choice goalkeeper and American international Matt Turner who didn’t make a single appearance for the club in the premier league last season, priced at 4.0M.

Manchester United: The Red Devils had an impressive season finishing 3rd in the Premier League and winning the Carabao Cup. The most expensive player from United is Marcus Rashford priced at 9.0M who had a stellar performance last season scoring 17 goals and providing 5 assists.

The player has a huge, selected percentage of 43.2% and is regarded by many as a major differential captain pick. The cheapest however, is fullback and academy product, Brandon Williams priced at 4.0M.

Newcastle United: The Magpies had a surprising rise to the Top 4 last season, securing Champions league qualification and finishing second in the Carabao Cup.

The most valuable asset from Eddie Howe’s Side is Striker and England International Callum Wilson priced at 8.0M. Wilson, despite his injury issues last season managed to bag 157 points scoring 18 goals and providing 5 assists along with 20 bonus points.

The least valuable however, is Defender Javier Manquillo who was an understudy to Trippier and managed to score a mere 4 points in the fantasy game last season, priced at 4.0m.

Liverpool: Next up are the reds from Merseyside who had a lackluster last season filled with injury woes and midfield issues, this allowed Jurgen Klopp’s men to finish 5th which was quite a shock as everyone expected them to be fighting for the title with City.

The most Valuable asset from Liverpool is the Egyptian king, Mohamed Salah priced at 12.5 M. He managed to score 19 goals and bag 12 assists in what many regarded as a ‘poor season’ from the player.

The Cheapest player from Liverpool is second choice Goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher who featured in an 8-goal draw against Southhampton as his sole appearance in the league, priced at 4.0M

Brighton and Hove Albion: The Seagulls managed 6th position last season under Roberto De Zerbi who was appointed to replace Graham Potter mid-season.

The most expensive player in Brighton’s squad is a draw between wingers Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March who both are priced at 6.5M.

They both had groundbreaking performances last season, and both managed to score 138 and 147 points respectively.

The cheapest however, is wingback Tariq Lamptey who scored 23 points in his 20 appearances in the league last season but surprisingly has a higher selected percentage than club captain Lewis Dunk who score 112 points last FPL season. Lamptey is priced at 4.0M.

Aston Villa: Unai Emery’s Men secured European football last season on the last matchday by securing victory against Brighton in a game that finished 2-1.

The most valuable player from this squad is striker Ollie Watkins whose price is 8.0M, he managed to bag 21 Goals and assists last season and was arguably their best player.

The cheapest or least valuable player is Swedish Second choice Goalkeeper Olsen who managed a mere 10 Fantasy point last season, priced at 4.0M.

Tottenham Hotspur: Tottenham had a very inconsistent season as they became the only team to concede and score more than 60 goals in a single Premier League campaign, finishing 8th and just out of European spots.

The most Valuable player is England captain and record club top scorer Harry Kane priced at 12.5M. Kane managed to score 263 FPL points last season which included 30 goals.

Despite his transfer rumors, he has a selected percentage of 13.9%. The least valuable player from Spurs, however, is Center Back Japhet Tanganga who managed a mere 4 points in his 4 appearances in the league.

Brentford: Thomas Frank’s men have showcased that they belong in the Premier League and last season was a testament as his side finished 9th in one of the most competitive seasons of the tournament.

Ivan Toney is Brentford’s most expensive player in FPL priced at 8.0M however, he may be the last player you would want to add to your FPL squad as the striker serves an 8 month ban due to betting charges. the least valuable however, is defender, Mads Bech Sorensen, priced at 4.0M who managed only 4 points in last season’s campaign in his 4 appearances for the club.

Fulham: The Priciest player in FPL out of Marco silva’s men is Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic priced at 7.5M, the player however, may not be the smartest choice as he is set to move out of the Premier League to Saudi side Al Hilal.

The cheapest player from Fulham is Goalkeeper Marek Rodak priced at 4.0M who managed to score 7 FPL points last season.

Crystal Palace: The Eagles had quite a surprising season under veteran manager Roy Hodgson who is was appointed mid-season replacing Partick Viera finishing 11th on the table.

The most expensive player in the Eagles is Eberechi Eze, who was a breakout performer last season as he managed 159 points in the FPL last season.

He is priced at 6.5 million in the game and can prove to be quite a popular pick in his given price range. The cheapest player however is American defender Chris Richards who managed to score 13 FPL points in his nine appearances for the club last campaign.

Chelsea: The 22/23 season can be described as an utter disaster for Chelsea as the club finished 12th in the Premier League table despite spending a pretty penny in the summer transfer window and saw three managerial changes in Frank Lampard Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel with the introduction of new owner Todd Boehly.

The most expensive player in FPL out of the Blues is new signing Christopher Nkunku who comes in from RB Leipzig. He had a stellar season with the German club winning the DFB pokal,he is priced at 7.5 million in the game and can prove to be quite a valuable asset.

The cheapest to many people surprise is also new signing and fullback Malo Gusto comes in from Leon priced at a mere 4 million he can see himself receiving a lot of game time due to injury Problems faced by Reece James.

Wolves: Wolves finished 13th last season in a campaign where many people dubbed them to be relegated to the championship.

The most expensive player in FPL from the club is Winger Daniel Podence priced at 5.5 million he managed to score 92 points in the fantasy game last season and can prove to be quite a cost efficient for those who are trying to save their funds for further in the season.

The cheapest however is English goalkeeper Daniel Bentley who managed a mere six points in fuel last season in his two appearances for the club.

West Ham: The Hammers won a European competition last season with clinching the Uefa Conference League against Fiorentina in the final domestically however they had quite a disappointing season as compared to the 21/22 campaign as they finished 14th with 40 points as compared to 7th with 56 points the season prior.

The most expensive player in FPL from West Ham is Midfielder Jared Bowen Who managed to back 11 goals and assist last season and is priced at 7.0 million in the game this season.

The cheapest however is French second choice goalkeeper Alphonse Areola who only managed seven points last fpl campaign but interestingly has a 30.4% selection rate Amongst FPL managers this campaign.

AFC Bournemouth: The Cherries were dubbed by many to be relegated in their initial predictions for the campaign last season however they managed to prove everybody wrong by staying afloat and managing to finish 15th.

The most expensive player in this season FPL campaign from Bournemouth is Forward Dominic Solanke who managed to score 130 FPL points last season which includes 6 goals and 7 assists.

The cheapest however is Irishman and backup goalkeeper Mark Travers Priced at a mere 4.0 million however surprisingly the player has a higher selection percentage than first choice goalkeeper Neto.

Nottingham Forest: The Tricky Trees found themselves in a relegation battle last season however they managed to stay afloat and finish 16th with 38 points.

The most expensive player in this season’s FPL campaign from their club is Forward Taiwo Awoniyi priced at 6.5M and the cheapest is Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey priced at 4.0M

Everton: The Toffees manage to survive relegation last season by the skin of their teeth, finishing 17th.

The most expensive player from Everton in this season FPL campaign is striker Dominic Calvert Lewin priced at 6.0 million last season he managed to bag three goals and assists in his seventeen appearances for the club in the league.

The cheapest however is Mason Holgate who managed 16 points last FPL campaign in his eight appearances for the club. He is priced at 4.0 million.

Burnley: Vincent Kompany’s side managed to secure direct qualification to this year’s premier League campaign by winning last season’s Championship with a spectacular 101 points.

The most expensive player from their squad is Dutch striker Wout Weghorst Who spent the entirety of last campaign at loan at Manchester United. He is priced at 5.5 million in the game.

The cheapest player from their squad is Defender Charlie Taylor who made 33 appearances for the club last season in the championship he is priced at a mere 4.0 million.

Sheffield United: Sheffield also managed to secure direct qualification for this season’s Premier League as they finished 2nd in the Championship behind Burnley with 91 points.

The most expensive players from their squad in the FPL market is Iliman Ndiaye who scored 14 goals and bagged 10 assists last campaign for them. The cheapest However, is defender Rhys Norrington who is priced at 4.0m.

Luton Town: Last but not the least is Luton Town who managed to secure promotion to the premier league by defeating Coventry in the playoffs final 5-6 on penalties.

Their most expensive player in this edition of Fantasy Premier League is forward, Carlton Morris priced at 5.5M. The striker bagged 27GA in the championship and was a key member to secure their promotion.

The Cheapest is midfielder Amari’i Bell, priced at 4.0M but Bell can prove to be a great rotation player for FPL managers as he is listed as defender in FPL that allows him to gain an extra point every time, he scores a goal.

The player averaged an astonishing 88 games per minute in his 44 appearances for the club in last season. Bell has a selected percentage of 19.4 and is quite popular as a cost-effective pick amongst FPL managers.
