Peak Scottish football
Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Nikola Todorov struck a late equalizer in the final minutes to salvage a point at home in a Scottish Championship game against Ayr United.
But that wasn’t the only headline from the night as the live coverage of the encounter was marred due to a hilarious reason.
The Inverness outfit do not employ a cameraman as their Camera is programmed to follow the ball throughout the match.
But the machine was fooled on the night by a man, as one of the linesmen officiating the game unknowingly interfered with the technology involved.
The artificially intelligent camera couldn’t differentiate between the ball and the bald head of the linesman.
The commentator in charge of the game had to apologise as the camera kept on mistaking the ball for the bald head on the sidelines, denying viewers of the real action while focusing on the linesman instead.
The match earned Inverness their first point of the season while Ayr United were denied a second straight win in the second tier of Scottish football.
