Chelsea fans would have loved that Christian Pulisic had the confidence to try a move like this against Guyana

Chelsea fans have very little to be excited about for the season ahead. A transfer ban added to the departures of talisman Eden Hazard and manager Maurizio Sarri now means they will go into the new season with a weakened side.

However, there may be some hope. With news of Frank Lampard coming in as new manager, the fans will surely be excited to see their legend back in the dugout however there is still belief that he is inexperienced and not ready for the job.

Enter Christian Pulisic.

A signing during the Sarri-ball season, Christian Pulisic signed for Chelsea during the winter transfer window on January 2, 2019. He was sent back on loan to Dortmund for the remainder of the season and is currently on national duty for USA in the Gold Cup.

A player with low center of gravity and quick acceleration, where have you heard that before Chelsea fans? Pulisic also possesses a strong weak foot which allows him to play on either side of the wings. Pulisic is no direct replacement for Hazard but potentially he can fill up the spot left behind by Hazard.

Still only 20 years old, Pulisic has a lot to learn and grow as a player. Joining the Premier League and learning from experienced wingers such as Pedro and Willian will surely improve the performances and abilities of the American winger and prepare him for life in England.

USA are currently competing in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and demolished Guyana 4-0 in their first match. Pulisic started the game in the left of center midfield and was subbed off in the 63rd minute. USA take on Trinidad and Tobago next on Sunday.
