The Brazilian national team took to the field yesterday for the first time since last summer’s World Cup disappointment, attempting to put a smile back on the faces of their fans.
They achieved that with consummate ease as they overcame USA 2-0 in a friendly at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, courtesy of 2 first half strikes from Roberto Firmino and Neymar.
However, the most eventful moment of the match, took place in the 22nd minute when Brazilian superstar Neymar was trolled brutally after he went down from a challenge by USMNT’s pacy full-back DeAndre Yedlin.
The 25-year-old Newcastle defender felt Neymar had gone down too easily, something which the Brazilian is certainly prone to doing. What caught fans’ attention however was the way Yedlin made that point to the referee.
The defender walked up to the referee and seemed to ask him if he watched the World Cup, referring to Neymar’s well publicised theatrics during the tournament. It certainly doesn’t take an expert lip reader to figure out that’s what Yedlin was saying. Watch the moment for yourselves:
Yoo Yedlin has me dying over here, making fun of Neymar and his dives.
"Did you watch the World Cup???"

The video has gone viral on social media as people couldn’t contain their joy at Neymar getting mocked in such a savage manner. It looks like the Brazilian superstar’s reputation for diving and theatrics on a football pitch, isn’t going to leave him anytime soon.
