Spurs showed their class as they won 2-0 in the FA Cup fourth-round replay at Wembley Stadium last night, but let’s not take anything away from Newport though as the minnows put forth a valiant effort, especially in the first leg when they held Spurs to a 1-1 draw at Rodney Parade.

Newport boss Mike Flynn was all praise for his opponents on the night and joked about the star-studded bench Mauricio Pochettino had named for the match.

The bench included the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen & Dele Alli and one couldn’t fault the Newport boss for getting a little overwhelmed by it.
