(Video) The real Pontus Jansson returned to action during Leeds’ 2-1 win over Middlesbrough last night

Leeds United secured a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Middlesbrough as goals from Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski ensured former manager Garry Monk of an unhappy return to Elland Road.

The Whites so often criticized for lacking fight in recent weeks showed a new-found resilience and character as they came from behind to record the crucial win over their fellow promotion hopefuls.

The tone for Leeds’ invigorated display was set up as early in the 15th minute by Pontus Jansson as the Swedish international sent Boro’s Marcus Tavernier clattering to the ground in an aerial duel and walked away roaring at the Boro winger.

The challenge roused the already charged up atmosphere at the stadium as Leeds went on to inflict a miserable evening on their former manager.

The Pontus Leeds fans want to see week in, week out!  Check out the incident below –
