Brilliant Leeds fans travel to Wigan dressed as monks in support of their manager (Photo)

Leeds United endured a heart-breaking run of form in April as they lost four matches in the month to drop out of the play-offs spots. The Yorkshire Club who had been for much of the season looked like genuine promotion hopefuls ran out of steam towards the season’s end as their promotion hopes come to an cruel and abrupt halt.

Despite the poor finish to the season, the club can take pride in the way in which they performed admirably throughout the course of the season. And with the progress that the club has seen under the leadership of Garry Monk, it is understandable that the club want the former Swansea manager to stay on.

Monk took over Leeds on a one year rolling contract following the departure of Steve Evans in 2015 and with the Englishman yet to resolve his future at the club, fans have understandably been concerned.

Ahead of Leeds’ final game of the season against Wigan, some Leeds Fans took a rather dramatic step in showing their support for their manager by wearing Garry Monk’s face masks and dressing as monks (probably pun intended).
