After yet another round of league fixtures across Europe, leading Italian sports paper La Gazzetta dello Sport have released their latest edition of the European Team of the week. The team features the best players of the week from the European continent.

The Premier league is well Represented with players from Tottenham, Liverpool and Crystal Palace; all three teams coming up with important victories this week.

Tottenham represented by Eric Dier overcame Burnley 2-0 to close the gap on leaders Chelsea to seven points, Liverpool represented by Philippe Coutinho won the Merseyside derby and Crystal Palace represented by former Manchester United man Wilfried Zaha inflicted a shock 2-1 defeat on league leaders Chelsea.

The inclusions of all three players are more than justified considering their telling contributions to their side’s triumphs over the weekend.
