Each person has their own job to do. Some people are in charge of the custom patches - the custom velcro patches that need to have some lettering customized - like the custom team patches that you can add your own lettering in the area of the team names and team motto, usually at the top and bottom of the patches. These custom team patches can take up quite a bit of time, of course depending on how many are in the orders that we are doing that day.
At the same time, people are in charge of setting up all of the stock patches - stock patches are not really stock patches at OMLpatches.com - each patch is a custom patch, and each patch is made to order. We do not have any completed patches on a shelf waiting to be purchased - each patch is made to your specifications. Because we work this way, each patch on the website becomes a custom patch. If you need to change the colors on the patch, you can do that with every order. The only thing we ask is that you be precise with your instructions - light blue is pretty vague for colors - we do have tons of colors, however, but it would be really hard to match that - and we find out that our idea of light blue is a bit different than other people's ideas! So people do the custom patches including the free text patches, someone sets up the files on the background fabric, more people prepare the fabric and set up the machines. Then of course we have people to run the machines while all of the set up is going on. Then we have the final processing to work on, and everyone in the office will pitch in and work to complete the patches. Then the magic merrowing happens! Once the merrowing is done, the patches are checked over once again for quality control - I forgot to mention that quality control happens in each level of the patch production. Once each patch has passed, then we move on to shipping - and we usually have a few people to double check spelling and get those patches in the envelopes to send out! Then our shipper takes the envelopes out and they are on their way. It seems like an easy process, but it is a lot of work to produce our patches with such high quality! We take the time, so you can enjoy your patches for years to come. Yes, we know you can get cheap patches out there, but when the patch falls apart or the velcro comes off of cheap patches, you will wish that you had paid just a tiny bit more for quality patches that don't fall apart!
