OG Classic

Throwin’ it back to ’76 where we saw the Pro Leather donned by the likes of b-ball heroes, it featured new tech with a cupsole design that brought lightweight comfort and durable wear – something no one had done yet!

The silhouette also switched up the Converse style and boldly broke down the rules of sports footwear with the fresh Star Chevron logo that dropped in “team colours” and at one point, markers were included in the Converse trainer box to encourage fans to get creative and personalise their creps.

A Legacy

American b-ball player Julius Erving aka “Dr. J” elevated the sneaker to become a staple in a basketball player’s locker, on and off the court. With his high-leaping and slam dunk style bringin’ a display of power into artistic expression, he moved the Converse Pro Leather to a new trainer league.

Donning the Pro Leather in the ‘70s and ‘80s, Dr. J completely changed the game of basketball, soaring above the rim like no one had done before and inspiring a new generation of players in their creative approach to the sport.
