Zenit 16/17 Home Jersey

Zenit and Nike have collaborated once again to create a kit inspired by the wonders of the North.  As if that weren’t enough, Zenit released the kits in the most unique way imaginable.  Yuri Lodygin, Artem Dzyuba, Nicolas Lombaerts, Aleksander Kokorin, Yuri Zhirkov and Sergei Semak were flown out to Prirazlomnaya, a single oil platform in the Russian Arctic shelf, nearly 1,630 kilometers north of the Petrovsky Stadium.  The workers there became the first of the clubs 15 million fans to lay eyes on the new kits.

The FC Zenit jerseys for the 2016/17 season were designed with diagonal stripes, reminiscent of the famous military uniform of Peter I.

Above the club emblem on the left chest sits a gold star, signifying Zenit’s 5 league titles.

The new kits also have a blue stripe that runs down the sides of shirt that expands when a player is in motion, thus maximizing ventilation.
