ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday night that the St. Louis Rams will not fire head coach Jeff Fisher despite a 5-8 record with three games to go in the season.
#Rams want Jeff Fisher back in 2016, per @AdamSchefter. Last Fisher team in playoffs: 2008. Last Fisher team to win in playoffs: 2003.

Despite the fact that Fisher hasn’t led a team to the playoffs in seven years and hasn’t won a playoff game in 12 years, you can’t ignore the fact that he hasn’t had a franchise quarterback to work with in St. Louis since he took over in 2012.
I would like to see what Fisher can do once he’s able to draft his own signal caller. Then I would fire him if he fails to get the Rams to the postseason.
The Rams now have a stud running back in Todd Gurley that they can build around on offense. Fisher will need to go out and draft a quarterback now that it appears Nick Foles is not the answer after trading for him this past offseason.
At the end of the day, I applaud the Rams for being patient with Fisher in a day and age where NFL coaches are not given much time at all to turn a franchise around.
