Lindsay wins debut as Delaware Valley takes down Immaculata; full D-III recap

Kyle Lindsay secured a win in his head coaching debut with Delaware Valley on Tuesday as the Aggies knocked off Immaculata, 6-2. 

Timmy Lallis finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Gage Ambruster Collected three hits and an RBI. 

Even at 2-2 entering the sixth, Kenny Tunison laced a double to center to push Lallis across the plate to break the tie. Lallis reached base earlier in the frame via a single to leftfield. The Aggies went on to score two more runs as insurance. 

Dalton Moore surrendered two runs for the Aggies, though only one was earned, over four innings. Ethan Saxe collected the win, throwing four scoreless innings of relief without surrendering a hit. 

The loss knocked Immaculata to 0-3 on the season. 

The Aggies return to action on Sunday when they face Gwynedd Mercy. The Macs, meanwhile, will visit Rutgers-Camden for a contest on Thursday. 

In other D-III action 
Widener scored four runs in the seventh to force extra innings before scoring a walk-off run in the eighth on Tuesday to knock off Milwaukee Engineering, 5-4. 

Anthony Boccio and Matt Samson drove in a pair of runs each in the seventh. Aaron Nuble delivered the walk-off blow with a solo shot in the extra frame. 

Other local D-III scores
Gwynedd Mercy 13, Valley Forge 1: Brett Swire finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored an RBI for the Griffins. Jake Martell and T.J. Brasier collected two hits each in the win. Brasier also drove in three runs. Joshua Nieberlein collected two hits in the losing effort for the Patriots. 

Rowan 11, Swarthmore 4: George Briggs collected two hits for the Garnet, while Kirk Terada-Herzer hit a solo homer in the opening frame. The loss dropped the Garnet to 2-3 on the season. 

Cabrini 9, Newport News Apprentice School 2: Details were not available.
