La Salle duo in Cucinotta and Elissalt earn weekly honors from the Philadelphia Baseball Review

Every Monday during the regular season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review will honor a Division-I Player and Pitcher of the Week.

For the week ending on February 28, the Philadelphia Baseball Review recognizes La Salle senior outfielder Jack Cucinotta as Player of the Week and teammate freshman Frank Elissalt as Pitcher of the Week.

Cucinotta (Chalfont, Chestnut Hill Academy) finished the weekend just 1-for-4 at the plate but performed his duties as a solid leadoff guy, collecting four walks while stealing a pair of bases and scoring a run.

On the mound, Elissalt impressed in his college debut. The Miami, Fla. native tossed six solid innings while racking up 11 strikeouts. He surrendered two runs on three hits.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in the Philadelphia region.
