Tuesday Champions League Wrap: Liverpool, Spurs Clinch Dramatic Qualification. Watch 🎥

Liverpool and Spurs have clinched Champions League knockout stage qualification in the most dramatic of circumstances..

Mohamed Salah was the hero for the Reds, while a late goal from Spurs substitute Lucas Moura got Mauricio Pochettino’s men a result away to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, the attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani were on fire as PSG thrashed Red Star to also seal their spot in the last 16.

Here’s a wrap of all the Champions League action!

LIVERPOOL 1-0 NAPOLI
Mohamed Salah's first-half strike gave Liverpool the 1-0 win over Napoli they needed at Anfield to qualify for the Champions League's last 16, sending the Italian side crashing out.
As has often been the case a moment of Mohamed Salah first-half magic broke the deadlock with a clever piece of penalty-area trickery.

Had Sadio Mane been even close to his sharpest, Jurgen Klopp's side would have been out of sight without having to worry about the repercussions of conceding - which would have required a clear two-goal victory.
But Liverpool's European exploits are rarely without drama and had goalkeeper Alisson Becker, a virtual spectator for 90 minutes, not kept out Arkadiusz Milik in added time they would have been staring into the Europa League abyss after Christmas.

BARCELONA 1-1 TOTTENHAM
Lucas Moura's dramatic late goal sent Tottenham through to the Champions League knockout stages by earning a 1-1 draw at Barcelona.
Spurs, who had to match Inter Milan's result against PSV Eindhoven, were heading out of the competition and into the Europa League for the second time in three seasons as they trailed to Ousmane Demebele's early goal for most of the game and the Italians came from behind to level.
But, having missed chance after chance at the Nou Camp, Moura finally came to Spurs' rescue as he converted Harry Kane's cross with five minutes remaining.

It was the least they deserved as only an inspired performance from Barca number two Jasper Cillessen protected his side's five-year unbeaten run at home in European football, although ultimately they will be grateful to PSV for their favour in Italy.

INTER MILAN 1-1 PSV
Inter Milan were knocked out of the Champions League after they could manage only a 1-1 draw at home to Group B's bottom club PSV Eindhoven and finished third behind Tottenham Hotspur.
The Dutch side, with only one point from their first five games, took a shock lead in the 13th minute when Hirving Lozano headed home after Kwadwo Asamoah lost possession in defence.

The visitors then survived incessant Inter pressure until Mauro Icardi headed in from Matteo Politano's cross in the 73rd minute. At that point, Inter were heading into the last 16 as Tottenham Hotspur were losing to Barcelona.
Yet Tottenham later equalised to draw 1-1 at Barcelona and squeezed through ahead of Inter on their head-to-head record after the two sides finished with eight points.

RED STAR 1-4 PSG
The attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani struck again as Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the round of 16 of the Champions League with a 4-1 win at Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday.
Cavani and Neymar were both assisted by their 19-year-old teammate, with Mbappe putting on an excellent display of speed, strength and dribbling throughout the game and he sealed PSG’s win with a goal in added time.

Roared on by a 55,000 home crowd, Red Star came out with renewed purpose in the second half and pulled one back when defender Marko Gobeljic unleashed a sumptuous volley after a fine cross from the left by full back Milan Rodic.
But PSG weathered the storm and put the game beyond Red Star's reach as Brazilian midfielder Marquinhos buried an unstoppable header past Borjan in the 74th minute and Mbappe completed the rout with a clinical stoppage-time finish.
