Paulinho Returns to Guangzhou Evergrande

Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande announced on Sunday that Brazilian midfielder Paulinho has returned to the club from Barcelona on a one-year loan deal.

Barça confirm Paulinho heads back to Guangzhou on one-year loan deal with option to buy. Understand Chinese side are obliged to complete transfer next year for €40-50 million.

The 29-year-old heads back to China after just one season at the Camp Nou where he played a key role in helping Ernesto Valverde's side win La Liga and the Copa del Rey last season.

Paulinho's departure from Barcelona after just one season is a surprise but may also have come about because of a lack of non-EU spots in their squad. The club have only three non-EU slots available, and they have been occupied by Paulinho, Philippe Coutinho and Yerry Mina. 

Arthur is expected to arrive from Gremio, which means the club needed to move on one of those players.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a €270 million (£238.5 million) offer to a representative of Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho in the hopes that his signing will convince Neymar to stay at the club.
The French giants are yet to contact Barca directly, but Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sport Witness' Naveen Ullal) reported one of Coutinho's agents has been alerted to the prospect of a potential new world-record deal.

According to the report, Neymar's uncertain status in Paris has caused concern with his employers, who feel signing childhood friend Coutinho would be one way to convince him his future lies at the Parc des Princes.

Liverpool Reportedly Target Croatia World Cup Defender Domagoj Vida
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly eager to cut a deal for Besiktas defender and Croatia World Cup hero Domagoj Vida. The centre-half would join his Croatia team-mate Dejan Lovren at Anfield.
The Reds were linked with Vida prior to his tide-turning display in Croatia's penalty-shootout win over hosts Russia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday. 

Turkish newspaper Aksam (h/t Mirror) reported Klopp has been more encouraged to make a £12 million swoop after that display.

Torreira Confirms Flight To London Ahead Of Medical To Seal Arsenal Move
Uruguay star Lucas Torreira has confirmed he is flying to London to seal his move to Arsenal rather than returning to Montevideo with the team following their exit from the 2018 World Cup.
La Celeste lost 2-0 to France on Friday, and the team will be heading home, but he will not be joining them straight away.

According to Flanagan, he will have a medical with the Gunners on Monday.
While his team are headed home at the quarter-final stage, Torreira had an impressive tournament for his country.

Arsenal have long needed some steel in the centre of the park, and 22 year old ability to regain and retain possession under pressure should give them that.

PSG To Reportedly Move For Luis Suarez Amid Edinson Cavani Exit Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly make an audacious move to sign Barcelona forward Luis Suarez this summer.

According to David Rubio of Sport, the French champions are putting together their plans for the remainder of the transfer window, and star forward Neymar is said to be keen to see his former team-mate make the switch to the Parc Des Princes.

As the report noted, Neymar and Cavani have had a frosty relationship in Paris, meaning the latter may find himself on the way out this summer. PSG are also said to ready to sell players in order to comply with FIFA's financial fair play regulations.

West Ham Table Club-Record £40m Felipe Anderson Bid As Wilshere Deal Nears Completion
West Ham have tabled a club-record £40 million (€45m/$53m) bid for Lazio star Felipe Anderson, and are closing in on the signing of Jack Wilshere, Goal can confirm.
The club expect to complete the signing of Wilshere, the former Arsenal midfielder, on a free transfer on Monday after he called time on a 10-year stay at the Gunners.

Goal reported this weekend that the 26-year-old would have to pass exhaustive medical tests to prove his fitness prior to signing, and sources have confirmed that Wilshere has done just that, and will sign in time to take part in the Hammers' pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

Jean Michael Seri Reportedly in London Amid Chelsea, Arsenal Transfer Rumours
Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri was reportedly in London on Sunday amid links to the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to French football journalist Nabil Djellit (h/t Harry Howes of the Daily Star), the Ivory Coast international is set to leave the Ligue 1 side and has been in touch with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Seri has a £35 million release clause in his contract and that Fulham, West Ham United, Napoli and Sevilla have shown interest.

According to David Ornstein of BBC Sport, the Gunners are closing in on midfield targets Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, meaning the Blues appear Seri's most likely destination as things stand.

Ronaldo Reportedly Holds Massimiliano Allegri Talks Amid Juve Rumours
Cristiano Ronaldo's proposed move from Real Madrid to Juventus is said to have taken a significant step forward amid reports he has held talks with potential new manager Massimiliano Allegri.

According to Cadena Cope (h/t Liam Prenderville of the Daily Mirror), the Portuguese's possible switch to Turin is at an advanced stage, so much so that Allegri has been in touch with the forward for discussions.

It's said the pair spoke over the phone about how Ronaldo would fit into the setup at Juventus, as speculation continues to intensify over a potential €100 million (£88 million) switch.
