Carlo Ancelotti And Other Top Managers That Could Replace Wenger

With Arsenal losing with same scoreline to Man City on Thursday night, the call for Arsene Wenger's sack or resignation has grown louder.

Halftime boos and chants of "Arsene Wenger please leave" echoed around a surprisingly half-filled stadium. While some could blame the cold turn in London, few can doubt that part of the low turnout came from an acceptance that it would be the Citizens' night in London.

Next week, end of the season, unless Wenger can finish with the Europa League and have a good run towards the end of the season, very likely Le Professeur would be watching from the outside come next season.

To this, here are the five managers we feel are in the hat to replace Wenger.

Thierry Henry
Might not be so far of a shot at the coaching seat at Arsenal. The Arsenal legend has been a feature on Sky Sports and had earlier on worked with the Arsenal youth team.
Currently the French man is now an assistant manager to Roberto Martinez with the Belgian national team and had already expressed interest in taking the job if it became available.

Perhaps Arsenal can go the route of Barcelona and Real Madrid in hiring a former player (Guardiola and Zidane) who brought successes to the club.

Eddie Howe
A long shot definitely given his inexperience managing big stars, Eddie Howe has somehow remained in the list of likely managers to take over Wenger.
Currently at Bournemouth, the 40-year-old manager has turned things around at the club guiding them to top flight football for the first time in their history and have continued to look a great side in the Premier League.

A man with a bright future but it would be a huge jump if he bags the Arsenal job.

Carlo Ancelotti
A top favorite by most bookies to land the job in the summer, Carlo would definitely be a great addition to the Arsenal squad if he gets the job.
The Italian has not hid his feelings of returning to the Premier League someday and with a man who knows how to get the best in his players and no known philosophy might just be right to help Arsenal stabilize post-Wenger.

An impressive honor list and great experience across multiple leagues, Ancelotti could be the person calling the orders from the bench at Emirates in August.

Diego Simeone
Now if you want to burn the club down and hope they rise like a phoenix from the ashes, look no further than Atletico Madrid's boss.
Diego Simeone is the obverse of Wenger. He remains an aggressive manager on the touchline, demands highly from his players and it is such principles that have seen Atletico Madrid continuously challenge in the La Liga since he took over.

Simeone's contract was recently extended to 2020 but the Arsenal job might be a tempting one for him to turn down. Arsenal look a rich project and Simeone would be relishing the chance of proving his worth once again.
