Evening Gossip: Bale Snubs Man Utd; Coutinho Breaks Down Over Failed Move

Bale Rejects Man Utd Move
The Real Madrid star was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months.

Reports this week claimed United and Real were in talks over a deadline day move involving the Wales international.

However, according to Spanish Transfer outlet Don Balon, Bale had other ideas. They say Real president Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane had sanctioned the move, with the La Liga champions set to spend the money on Kylian Mbappe.

Don Balon claim Jose Mourinho had convinced United to spend £90m (€100m) on the winger, 28.

But Bale refused to join United and he snubbed talks with the Red Devils. Bale, who has won three Champions League trophies during his time in Spain, is desperate to stay at Real.

Coutinho Spotted Crying
Philippe Coutinho broke down in tears after learning Liverpool would not sell him to Barcelona.

The Brazil forward had hoped to secure a move to Spain on Friday when the La Liga giants made a £140million bid.

But Liverpool stood firm and insisted the 25-year-old remained at Anfield. Coutinho scored for Brazil on Thursday night having not featured for his Club this season.

And according to reports in Spain , the forward was seen crying as his emotional summer took its toll. Coutinho had attempted to force the move by telling Liverpool he wanted to play with Lionel Messi and Co.

But the club's owners refused to budge. Coutinho will feature for Brazil again on Tuesday when they face Colombia and will likely be included in Liverpool's squad for their crunch clash with Manchester City next Saturday.
