Italy Put Sand In Eagles' Garri, Beat Nigeria In FIFA Beach World Cup

The Super Sand Eagles took to the National Beach Soccer Arena to face Italy in the first Group B game of the 2017 Beach Soccer World Cup.

Gabriele Gori would be the Sand Eagles' assassin as he fired in six past Dami Paul.

Nigeria went ahead in the game courtesy of Godspower Igudia and Victor Tale but the European giants would rally back to end the period 2-2.

Abu Azeez- who bagged a hat-trick- and Emeka Ogbonna were the other scorers for Nigeria.

Paolo Palmacci got a hat-trick for the Italians with Zurlo, Di Palma, and Chiavaro completing the scoring.

Nigeria will play Mexico on Saturday while Italy face Iran in the second round of Group B matches of the Beach Soccer World Cup.
