James Rodriguez To Man Utd
James Rodriguez is set to tell Real Madrid he wants to join Manchester United, according to reports.
Spanish outlet Don Balon say the playmaker has been convinced by Jose Mourinho that Old Trafford is the place for him.
Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with the Colombian in recent times, as have Bayern Munich.
The German giants were thought to be running close to United in the battle for his signature but Mourinho has sealed it with the offer of regular first-team football.
Carlo Ancelotti was unable to offer him a regular start in his Bayern midfield.
Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes also represents Mourinho and this would no doubt have played a part in winning the argument.
United appear unwilling to meet his asking price and the player-plus-cash deal involving De Gea could be their best shout.
But Mourinho will be desperate to keep De Gea who has been sensational for United over the last three years.
Romelu Lukaku Deal Almost Complete
Chelsea’s deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton is almost done, according to reports in Italy.
Antonio Conte is looking to bolster his attacking options in the Summer transfer window, and Sky Italia are claiming that the Premier League leaders are closing in on a move for the Belgium international.
Lukaku, who is currently the Premier League’s top scorer with 21 goals, has a reported price tag of £70 million.
Last week, it was claimed that Conte is at odds with Chelsea’s technical director, Michael Emenalo, over which striker to sign this summer.
Conte’s preference is to acquire Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, having missed out on the Spaniard last year.
