Today's Gossip: Hammers Ready To Sell Star Player, Mourinho Back At Madrid?

Dimitri Payet To Marseille.
West Ham could be ready to crack in the Dimitri Payet transfer saga as the winter window enters the final straight.

Their position is believed to be softening as they look to try and get a £10million deal done for Hull’s Robert Snodgrass.
Marseille have already had a £22m offer including another £3m in add-ons for wantaway Payet turned down, but it is believed West Ham may be willing to take around £30m.

They know the France international Midfielder is desperate to leave and does not want to play for them again so they may have no option but to cut their losses.

West Ham had been determined to hold out for £35m, but there has been no auction to force the price up as Payet has made it clear he only wants to go back to Marseille, his previous club.

Mourinho To Return To The Bernabeu?
The Special One's Close Relationship with Florentino Perez could trigger a shock return to Real Madrid in the future, according to reports.

Mourinho left Madrid after three seasons back in 2013. The Portuguese won La Liga in 2012 but dressing room clashes with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas ultimately cost him his job.

However, Mourinho still has a close relationship with club president Florentino Perez. Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Perez called the United boss to wish his wife well after a recent health scare.
However, their close relationship has fuelled talk Mourinho could one day return to the Spanish capital.

Despite Madrid sitting at the top of the La Liga table, Zinedine Zidane's future is reportedly - and somewhat amazingly - in doubt.

Their Copa del Rey exit to Celta Vigo last night means their dreams of the treble are now dead.
