Rivers United Win NPFL Super 4 Tournament After Rangers Slip Up


Rivers United have won this year’s NPFL Super 4 after they Finished top of the pre-season tournament ahead of Rangers, who stumbled on the final day of action against FC IfeanyiUbah.

Rivers United finished top on six points from three matches after they pipped Wikki Tourists 1-0.
Rangers finished second with five points after they were held to a 1-1 draw by whipping boys IfeanyiUbah.

Wikki Tourists finished third with four points.

Against IfeanyiUbah tonight, Godwin Aguda headed Rangers in front after 49th minutes following a flowing attacking play initiated by substitute Fortune Omoniwari.

However, Jimoh Oni drew IfeanyiUbah level in the 67thminute, when he stabbed beyond goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel after he was set up.

IfeanyiUbah were a much improved side against Rangers after they lost their first two matches to Wikki and Rivers United.

In the first game of the day, Rivers United winner over Wikki Tourists courtesy of a fifth minute goal by Ivorian striker Guy Venance.
