Wolexis:         Welcome to Wolexis. Thank you for taking out the time to do this with us.

Shegstein:     It’s my pleasure

Wolexis:       A passionate Chelsea fan, I’m correct? What are your minimum expectations for this season?

Shegstein:    Top four spot and a cup final will do for me. I’m not expecting too much. The league is really competitive this year. Anything more will be a bonus. But if there’s one man that can exceed expectations, it’s Antonio Conte.

Wolexis:        Talking about Antonio Conte. You feel Chelsea have their man now? The Chelsea job is one with high managerial turnovers?

Shegstein:     You never really know with Chelsea. I felt we had our man in Jose too. That didn’t work out. But one can only hope for the best. Conte is very young and full of life. He is in the Guardiola age group of coaches. He has some 20 odd years of coaching in him. One can only hope Chelsea make use of most of those 20 and that it’s a successful relationship.

He already has some qualities Jose lacked, especially faith in youth players, see for example, Pogba at Juventus, and has the ability to control his emotions when talking to the press. Here’s hoping the best is yet to come.

Wolexis:        Okay, so yes. I’m going to ask, who is in your top four this season.

Shegstein:      Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, and Arsenal

Wolexis:       If you could sign one ex-Chelsea player, active or retired, who would that be?

Shegstein:     I want to say prime Michael Essien but I’d go with prime Joe Cole, I mean I could have gone with Arjen Robben but yeah. Imagine the possibility of pairing Cole with Hazard on either wing. We have missed that double threat on the wings for a long time.

Wolexis:       That’s greedy, you know! So how about someone you cannot wait to see him hit the exit at the club?

Shegstein: Gary Cahill! Without a shadow of doubt. I think he has no more than two seasons left at the club. Hopefully less. With the return of Kurt Zouma and the emergence of Andreas Christensen who is going to have a first team spot next season, I hope his exit is fast-tracked.

Wolexis: Chelsea’s take on Liverpool. That game is going to be a cracker. Conte and Klopp. The fixture is kind of back in terms of anticipation. What do you expect from the game, Klopp’s Liverpool, and what’s your scoreline prediction.

Shegstein: We have only lost 1 of our last 8 matches against Liverpool even though that one was against Klopp’s Liverpool last season. It would be a high intensity match for sure. Probably going to have some controversy- Costa I mean.

I think we would come out with a 2-1 win. Goals from Hazard, Costa, and Coutinho.

Wolexis: What your all-time first eleven Chelsea-Liverpool combine?

Sheigsten:  Petr Cech; Ashley Cole, John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, William Gallas, Xabi Alonso, Claude Makele, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard; Ian Rush and Didier Drogba.

Wolexis: Alright Shegstein, thanks for having to do with us, before you leave, time to earn your points. You know how this works, marks for each correctly predicted scoreline and outcomes are awarded. So let’s have it!
