Former West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has refused to rule out a return to the Premier League.
West Ham sold Hernandez to Sevilla for £6.5million (Daily Mail) on deadline day last summer.
The decision raised eyebrows. Not because the Mexican had been a star performer for the Hammers. The truth is he had struggled to ever truly establish himself in East London with just 17 goals in two seasons.
More because in doing so West Ham had shipped out all five of last season’s strikers leaving record £45million signing Sebastien Haller as their only proven goalscorer.

West Ham raised eyebrows letting Chichari-Go
As a result the Hammers have been forced to play the Frenchman as a lone striker, a role in which he has really struggled.
Many West Ham fans believe Haller would have been the perfect foil to finally get the best out of Chicharito. But he was the highest earning player in West Ham's history on £145,000 per week and the feeling was West Ham could not wait to get him off the books.
But Hernandez endured an all too familiar struggle in Spain, playing just 15 games and scoring only three goals in Spain.
Sevilla wasted little time moving the 31-year-old on. The La Liga side made a swift £500,000 profit selling Hernandez to MLS side LA Galaxy for £7million in January (Sky Sports).
He had made just two appearances for Galaxy before the global health crisis shut football down.

Hernandez hints at Premier League return six months on
Now speaking in a new interview with Goal, the former Hammer has refused to rule out a return to the Premier League six months on.
“You never know (if I could move back to the Premier League), Hernandez told Goal.
I don't know. It's difficult, but why not?
“I'm a person who is assured when I make decisions. I can change my mind, everyone can, but I'm sure of the project that I've chosen (at Galaxy).”
Hernandez turns 32 in June. So it is difficult to see a top Premier League club or West Ham bringing him back.

Did West Ham miss out on perfect partnership?
David Moyes has made it clear he wants to build a new-look West Ham around young, hungry talent like Jarrod Bowen (whufc.com).
His best bet might be a newly promoted club if he does return.
There will always be a sense of 'what if' with Chicharito and West Ham, though.
The Hammers made a superb start to the season and were tipped for Europe.
Indeed they would be sat in the European spots right now. That's if they had they not thrown away a record 24 points from winning positions.
Hernandez may well have complemented Haller perfectly and West Ham’s bright start to the season might have been sustained.
But we will likely never find out.
