The Hammers head into today's game on the back of a woeful run of form in the Premier League. And they are in real relegation trouble. So FA Cup action today might just be a welcome distraction.
The Baggies, meanwhile, are flying high in the Championship, and are currently sitting pretty at the top of the table, four points clear of third placed Fulham with a game in hand over the west London outfit.
Both sides' priorities will undoubtedly be the league. But a good cup run could work wonders for their confidence too.
Slaven Bilic's side do not have a great record against the east London outfit. West Brom have beaten West Ham only once in their last six meetings. And they have not won away at the Hammers since 2003.
David Moyes has so many injuries to contend with, however, and would undoubtedly take survival over a good cup run if he were offered it today.
The match today will see Bilic return to the London Stadium for the first time since leaving in 2017.
The game kicks off at 15:00.
