West Ham United are being linked with a late move for African striker Bertrand Traore.
TeamTalk have claimed West Ham are interested in signing Lyon forward Traore, who played for Chelsea in the Premier League before a move to Ajax.
It didn't quite work out for the 23-year-old at Stamford Bridge.
West Ham linked with Traore
But the same can be said for a raft for young players making their way in the game. Declan Rice one such example.
Traore has scored 56 senior goals in his career so far for club and country.
And according to TeamTalk West Ham want to give him another crack at the Premier League.
Sebastien Haller will be the undisputed first choice after completing a club record £45million move this summer (BBC Sport).
56 goals by 23 not to be sniffed at
But Traore would be an excellent option as back-up given Manuel Pellegrini's lack of options after the departures of Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez.
Traore has come of age at Lyon netting 20 goals in 64 games.
TeamTalk claims the Hammers have entered into discussions with the French club over the former Chelsea forward, who can also operate as a winger.
Co-owners love an option to buy
The report claims the deal would initially be on loan.
But knowing West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold they will want to have an option to buy inserted into any deal.
That would ensure the Hammers are covered if Traore proves a hit in East London.
