West Ham United have been linked with a move for Manchester City utility man Fabian Delph.
Manuel Pellegrini wants as many as six new players this summer.
The Chilean is targeting two strikers, one or two midfielders, a defender and a back-up goalkeeper.
He already has one ticked off the list having made Spanish 'keeper Roberto his first signing of the summer (whufc.com).
Pellegrini wants Fab Delph… again
And according to Football Insider Pellegrini remains an admirer of Delph after bringing him to the Etihad when he was in charge.
The report claims West Ham want the versatile former Leeds and Villa midfielder-cum-defender and could get him for around £15million.
The England international made just 20 appearances last season.
And he faces the reality that will be reduced further still next term. He lost his place to Oleks Zinchenko while Benjamin Mendy will be coming back into the side once he recovers from long-term injury.
Reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has now lifted the lid on the three reasons Pellegrini is keen to sign Delph for a second time.
Insider lists three reasons Hammers want Delph
West Ham are currently “monitoring” the situation with England’s Fabian Delph, ExWHUemployee said on Twitter last week.
He was signed by Pellegrini for Manchester City and expected to leave them this summer.
This would help with our homegrown quota, provide a box-to-box midfield option and cover at left back.
