Liverpool have reportedly offered Sturridge to Arsenal

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been offered to Arsenal, according to reports.

Sturridge has fallen out of favour at Anfield, with Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi and Sadio Mane all above him in the pecking order.

He was visibly angry at being overlooked by manager Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday.

And, according to Goal, Sturridge’s representatives have offered him to Arsenal despite Liverpool’s insistence he won’t be leaving this summer.

Arsenal have needed a striker all summer but solved that particular problem with the arrival of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna.

Olivier Giroud’s inconsistency and Danny Welbeck’s injury has forced Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to delve into the transfer market.

Sturridge scored 13 times in 25 appearances for the Reds last season – despite struggling with injuries.

The England international was signed by Brendan Rodgers from Chelsea in January 2013 and helped the club reach the finals of the EFL Cup and Europa League last term.
