Jack Allen signed among other Michigan State undrafted free agents

Despite not being taken in this year's NFL Draft, seven Michigan State players continued their journey to the NFL by signing as undrafted free agents this weekend.

Here is a list of Spartans who signed with NFL teams following the draft and where they stand heading into mini-camp.

Jack Allen, C, New Orleans Saints

The 2-time All-American center signed with the New Orleans Saints after dropping out of the draft due to size concerns.

Allen is considered to be small by NFL standards at 6-foot-1 and 294 pounds. Allen has a good shot to win the backup job to veteran center Max Unger, but will have to compete with Senio Kelemete who has experience playing both center and guard during his 4-year NFL career.

Arjen Colquhoun, CB, Dallas Cowboys

The Windsor, Ontario native signed with the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night following the draft.

Colquhoun faces an uphill battle with 8 other corners currently on the roster heading into mini-camp. Although with a strong training camp and pre-season he could make the final 53-man roster.

Lawrence Thomas, DL, New York Jets

The versatile Thomas will remain in the green and white, but now will be playing with the New York Jets.

At 6-foot-3 and 304 pounds, Thomas could play either defensive end or defensive tackle at the next level and even played some fullback during his time in East Lansing. Thomas joins a talented group of defensive lineman with the likes of Muhammad Wilkerson and Leonard Williams.

Trevon Pendleton, FB, Baltimore Ravens

Pendleton who was known for his bruising blocking ability and pass-catching skills joins a Baltimore Ravens team that seems like a perfect fit for skill set.

The Ravens are one of the few teams in the NFL that sill exercise the use of a fullback and could definitely use Pendleton who at 6-foot and 250 pounds is athletic enough to catch passes out of thebackfield and lead-block for halfbacks.

Joel Heath, DT, Houston Texans

Heath will see some familiar faces when he reports to mini-camp for the Houston Texans.

Including Heath, the Texans have four former Spartans on their roster with Keith Mumphery, Kurtis Drummond, and Max Bullough. Heath was a part of a very talented group of defensive lineman at Michigan State and probably was overlooked for that very reason.

At 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Heath as the size and physicality to make his mark on this team.

DeAnthony Arnett, WR, Seattle Seahawks

The former high school All-American and Saginaw native was highly sought after by Michigan State, but Arnett decided to attend Tennessee initially before transferring to the Spartans for his last two seasons.

Arnett is physically gifted and is talented, but never seemed to realize his potential for either the Vols or MSU. The Seahawks have thrived with lesser known receivers before, so perhaps Arnett could surprise some people in Seattle.

Taybor Pepper, LS, Baltimore Ravens

Pepper joins his teammate Trevon Pendleton in Baltimore on a tryout deal with the Ravens.

Pepper, who was the primary long snapper for field goals and punts during his time with Michigan State, was as solid as they come at the position. Although Pepper will be a long shot to supplant veteran Morgan Cox who recently signed a 5-year deal with the Ravens.
