On Thursday, the Major League Baseball Rule 5 Draft was held and the Detroit Tigers selected right-handed reliever Reed Garrett with the 5th overall pick. According to reports, Double-A pitcher Andrew Schwaab was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 Draft.
