Arsenal took it to the wire but could not stop Manchester City claiming their fourth Premier League title in four years with Liverpool and Aston Villa following in their wake.

Week 31 – In midweek matches, Everton scored late to draw 1-1 at Newcastle and there were 1-1 away draws for Wolves and Tottenham at Burnley and West Ham respectively while Nottingham Forest triumphed 3-1 at home to Fulham and a single goal gave hosts Bournemouth a win over Crystal Palace. Aston Villa fell 4-1 to a Phil Foden hat-trick at Manchester City while Arsenal scored twice at home to Luton and Brighton drew 0-0 at Brentford. On Thursday Alejandro Garnacho netted a double as Manchester United came from 2 down to take the lead at Chelsea but lost 4-3 when Cole Palmer completed his hat-trick with the last kick of the game while Liverpool beat Sheffield United 3-1 at Anfield.

Week 32 – Crystal Palace scored an early and late goal as they lost 4-2 to Manchester City with Kevin de Bruyne scoring twice for the visitors while Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win at Brighton and 10-man Burnley lost 1-0 at Everton. Brentford fought back from 2 down to take the lead but drew 3-3 at Aston Villa for whom Ollie Watkins netted a double while West Ham United came from behind to win 2-1 at Wolves and Luton did the same at home to Bournemouth. A late goal gave Newcastle 3 points at Fulham while on Sunday Liverpool drew 2-2 at Manchester United and Nottingham Forest lost 3-1 at Tottenham. Sheffield United scored in added-on time to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Chelsea.

Week 33 – Alexander Isak netted twice as Newcastle thumped Tottenham 4-0 at St James’ Park while Manchester City thrashed Luton Town 5-1 at the Etihad and Sheffield United lost 2-0 at Brentford. Burnley and Brighton drew 1-1 and there were 2-2 draws for Wolves and Nottingham Forest and for Manchester United at Bournemouth with Bruno Fernandes scoring both goals for the visitors. On Sunday, Crystal Palace stunned Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield and Arsenal also suffered a home defeat with 2 late goals against Aston Villa while Andreas Pereira scored both goals to give Fulham a win at West Ham. On Monday evening, Cole Plamer scored 4 goals as Chelsea ripped Everton apart 6-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Week 34 – Luton Town were battered 5-1 by Brentford with Yoane Wissa netting twice for the visitors while Burnley enjoyed a 4-1 win at bottom side Sheffield United and Arsenal scored at the end of each half to win at Wolves. On Sunday, West Ham were hammered 5-2 at Crystal Palace for whom Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice and Everton scored twice at home to Nottingham Forest while there were 3-1 wins for Liverpool at Fulham and for Aston Villa against Bournemouth at Villa Park. In rearranged matches, on Tuesday Ben White and Kai Havertz scored  two apiece as Arsenal demolished Chelsea 5-0 at the Emirates and on Wednesday Liverpool lost 2-0 at Everton and Jean-Philippe Mateta scored both goals of the match as Crystal Palace sent Newcastle home losers while a double from Bruno Fernandes helped Manchester United to a 4-2 win over Sheffield United at Old Trafford and 10-man Bournemouth won by a single goal at Wolves. Manchester City beat hosts Brighton 4-0 with a Phil Foden brace on Thursday evening.

Week 35 – Shefield United took an early lead at Newcastle but were relegated after being thumped 5-1with Alexander Isak adding 2 more goals to his tally for the season while West Ham United scored the first and last goals of the match in a 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool and Chelsea fought back from 2 down to draw 2-2 at Aston Villa. There were 1-1 draws for Burnley at Manchester United and Crystal Palace at Fulham while a single goal gave Everton 3 points at home to Brentford and Luton lost 2-1 at Wolves. On Sunday, Arsenal won 3-2 at Tottenham having led 3-0 at half time while Manchester City scored twice at Nottingham Forest without reply and Bournemouth beat Brighton 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium. In a rearranged match Tottenham lost 2-0 at Chelsea on Thursday evening.

Week 36 – On Friday evening Everton drew 1-1 at Luton and on Saturday, Erling Haaland scored 4 times as Wolves were thrashed 5-1 at Manchester City while Arsenal put 3 past Bournemouth at the Emirates and Burnley were thumped 4-1 by their visitors from Newcastle. Callum Hudson-Odoi netted a brace as Nottingham Forest enjoyed a 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday who finished the match with 10 players and there were no goals between Brentford and Fulham while on Sunday Nicolas Jackson scored twice as West Ham took a 5-0 battering at Chelsea and Tottenham mounted a futile comeback with 2 goals at Liverpool having already conceded 4 times in the first hour of the match. Aston Villa fell to a late goal at Brighton and on Monday Manchester United were humiliated 4-0 at Crystal Palace with Michael Olise striking twice for the Eagles.

Week 37 – Josko Gvardiol scored twice as Manchester City improved their goal difference with 4 goals at Fulham who ended the match with 10 players while Crystal Palace, who also finished with 10 players, were 3-1 winners at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea scored 2 late goals to come from 2-1 down and win 3-2 at Nottingham Forest. Luton Town need a miracle to stay up after losing 3-1 at West Ham despite taking an early lead while Burnley also took the lead but had their relegation confirmed with a 2-1 loss at Tottenham and Brighton drew 1-1 at Newcastle. Brentford won 2-1 at Bournemouth with all the goals coming in the last 4 minutes while on Sunday one goal for Arsenal at Manchester United ensured the Premier League title will be decided on the last Sunday of the season while on Monday evening Jhon Duran hit Liverpool with 2 late goals as Aston Villa earned a 3-3 draw in front of their home crowd and on Tuesday in a rearranged match Erling Haaland scored both goals at Tottenham to give Manchester City a point advantage over Arsenal going into the final Sunday of fixtures. In other rearranged matches, on Wednesday Manchester United enjoyed a 3-2 victory at home to Newcastle while Chelsea were 2-1 winners at Brighton.

Week 38 – On the final Sunday of the season, Arsenal came from behind to grab a late 2-1 win at home to Everton but were denied by a magnificent Mancher City who celebrated their fourth Premier League title in a row in front of their home fans after Phil Foden scored twice in their 3-1 victory over West Ham United while in Jürgen Klopp’s last match in charge at Anfield, Liverpool beat 10-man Wolves 2-0 and a Jean-Philippe Mateta hat-trick plus a brace from Eberechi Eze saw Crystal Palace demolish fourth place Aston Villa 5-0 at Selhurst Park. Luton Town’s relegation was confirmed after losing 4-2 at home to Fulham for whom Raul Jimenez scored twice while Chris Wood scored 2 early goals as Nottingham Forest celebrated survival with a 2-1 win at relegated Burnley and Newcastle ended the season on a high with a 4-2 success at Bretford. Dejan Kulusevski scored twice as Sheffield United waved goodbye to the Premier League with a 3-0 loss to Tottenham at Bramall Lane while Manchester United ended their season with a 2-0 win at Brighton and Chelsea were 2-1 winners at home to Bournemouth.
