How I See It - NFL Week 3 Run Down

An interesting weekend of football! Let's get right into it...

The Rams can seriously ball and put up points. Their pass rush is legit but they still get carved up like Thanksgiving. It's still the Rams so no one should get too excited.  Someone forgot to tell Joe Flacco he was in a pro football game in London with his 28 yds total and QBR of 0.8!  Meanwhile the Jags went to Mr. London Allen Hurns who checked the Ravens male fortitude all day and likely once more before they made it through security as they likely ran back home with zero pride or self respect.  Jags have a legit secondary that's fun to watch ontop of a productive offense.  The Chiefs did their jobs and the job of a WWE wrestler here per Daniel Sorenson. The Chiefs were laying down WWE Style hammers!

Lots of odd results this weekend that will surely have an impact in the coming weeks.
The Vikings should not have been so crisp with backup Case Keenum starting but that's a guy who set the NCAA passing record in his days at U.H. The guy can throw all day if allowed.  Looking at the Vikings as a team anyone can see that they are very well put together in all facets.  The skill players are all fast and young.  The defense is stout and coached up.  I doubt any one wants to play them at home right now. You could probably put Tebow at QB and get to the playoffs no problem.

Next up, the Steelers dropped a game to the lowly Bears. The same Steelers that analysts have been saying may be Super Bowl contenders couldn't get it done when it mattered.  Over time or not, that is a WTF loss for the Steelers.  That is the kind of loss that haunts a team come week 13 and 14 when injuries have piled up.

More shocking news: The Jets. The Jets won a game! Not only that but they beat a hot team in the Dolphins. The Phins were rolling but now it is safe to say they will need a deeper look to see what happened there. Any team that allows old man Josh McCown shred them (126 qbr) while also only posting 30 rushing yards on the JETS has major issues. The o-line is dismal in South Beach.

The Packers and the Patriots, two of the big favorites, both got exposed. The Patriots moreso were exposed playing against Bill O'Brien who almost always has the coaching counterpunch to Belichick's jabs.  Even with O'Brien being able to predict alot of the Patriots gameplan, there was no 4th quarter answer from the Texans for TB12.  Speaking of 4th quarter heroics, the Packers are blessed with Aaron Rodgers. He is the only reason they beat the crappy Bengals. He is nearly unstoppable even if he threw his second career pick six ever. Seriously, who could stop this?
For real, who can stop this type of action?ter.com/packers/status/912096845249126401

Two more head scratchers: The Bills took down the Broncos. Who the f**k really saw that coming? The Panthers saw the Broncos piss themselves and were all like, "Here...Hold my beer", and let the Saints put a hurting on them. I blame Newton, who did more posing in his romper than throwing TDs. Threw 3INTs. That plus no Greg Olson, no K. Benjamin, no Kalil. Note: There's a guy on Nawlins named Thomas (WR) that is worth keeping on eye on because he is Drew Brees favorite these days.

The Titans beat Seattle in a borderline streetfight. Atlanta held back Stafford from making another comeback by literally just inches and a stupid ass clock rule. The Eagles got by the Giants with an insane 61yd FG. The Giants will probably tell Coach McAdoo to hit the bricks if he loses the next game against the the Bucs. That will be a dogfight since both teams are desperate for a win and underachieving.

Last but not least, the Toilet Bowl between the Browns and the Colts was more exciting than anyone could have predicted. Jacoby Brissett might as well finish out the season. Luck can rest because the Colts probably will only win 1 more game all year. The Browns seemingly played two different games. They sleepwalked thru the 1st half, grabbed some smelling salts at half time, then decided to play a football game in the second. There are all sorts of problems with both teams. None of which will be sorted out anytime soon. A forgettable game by two forgettable teams this season.

[Written Monday] Cowboys at Arizona for MNF - Cowboys are favored by 2.5pts with the O/U at 46.5. I would take the under and take the points as I believe the cowboys will win by a FG+ with Dallas going run heavy and Arizona allowing Carson Palmer to QB them to another L.
