10 Best NFC match-ups of 2017

The drama of the NFL is what drives it to be the billion dollar behemoth that it is. The force behind that drama is the matchups we get week in and week out. 2017 is no different. There are so many juicy games for this year I had to break them down into 3 Top 10 categories: NFC, AFC and Inter-conference games.

Here are my 10 best games in the NFC this year

Packers vs Falcons (Week 2)

The Falcons ran rough shot over the Packers in last years NFC Championship game, which was the last game played in the Georgia Dome. Atlanta open up their new digs with a rematch of that game. Green Bay hope to contain the Falcons high powered offense and spoiler their home opener. Plus a couple of MVP QBs going head to head doesn't hurt.

Seahawks vs Packers (Week 1)

The Green Bay Packers open up with a tough stretch before their tilt with the Falcons, they have to deal with the visiting Seahawks. A Seattle/Green Bay always delivers with the drama especially with Wilson and Rodgers under center. Both teams are projected to win their divisions so this game will go along way in NFC playoff seeding.

Seahawks vs Cowboys (Week 16)

This game comes late in the season so who knows where these teams will be at this point, but this will be Dak and Zeke's first game against Seattle and its vaunted defense. Both teams will be on a mission to rebound from disappointing playoff exits a year ago. At this point in the season we will know how Prescott will respond now that the league has film on him.

Packers vs Cowboys (Week 5)

Last years magical run by the Cowboys came to a disappointing end due to the heroics of one Aaron Rodgers in the Divisional round. In Week 5, Dallas gets its shot at revenge when the Packers coming calling. This game should still be a good one, even though Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliot is expected to be serving his 6 game suspension.

Falcons vs Seahawks (Week 11)

Pete Carroll split with his protégé Dan Quinn and the Atlanta Falcons last year with the latter clobbering his former team in the Divisional round on their run to Super Bowl LI. This season the Seahawks look for payback for their early trip home last season when the Falcons visit the Pacific Northwest on Monday Night Football. Most pundits look at what Quinn has built in Atlanta and see a mirror image of what Carroll has in Seattle. At this point in the season both expect to be factors in the NFC playoff picture.

Seahawks vs Cardinals (Week 10 & 17)

The Cardinals are aging and their window to win now is closing fast. They know to get back to the postseason they have to win the NFC West and that means two more great battles with the Seattle Seahawks. They have combined to win the last 4 division crowns and I think its safe to say the winners of these contests will be in the drivers seat to win it this year.

Cowboys vs Giants (Week 1 & 14)

Their is a reason the NFL seems to always have theses two open up against one another pretty much every year. For a majority of last year nobody could stop the Cowboy train, except one team the New York Giants. New York handed the Cowboys 2 of their 3 loses in the regular season. The stars will be out in this one with the Nfc East title hanging in the balance for the winner.

Eagles vs Cowboys (Week 11 & 17)

Dak Prescott got most of the attention last year in route to winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Lost in the shuffle was another NFC East signal caller, Carson Weintz. The Eagles got off to a hot start last year before cooling off late. Last years #2 overall pick looks to build on his rookie season and prove he will be the star of the NFC East for years to come. His first shot comes on NBC in Week 11.

Panthers vs Falcons (Week 9 & 17)

These are the last two teams to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. They also both feature the last two MVP award winners. The Panthers look to rebound from a disappointing 6-10 campaign and the Falcons are on a mission to get the bad taste of last years epic Super Bowl collapse out of their mouth. Carolina had a hold of the NFC South before Atlanta's unexpected run last season. Both teams have unfinished business and know that it starts with winning the division.

Lions vs Packers (Week 9 & 17)

The Packers have virtually controlled the NFC North since Rodgers took over under center, but the one team who seems to give them a run for their money is Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions. Last years title came down to a Week 17 tilt in Mo-Town. Green Bay is picked to win the division again but armed with richest contract in NFL history Stafford and the Lions look to dethrone Rodger's and return to the postseason
