The 2019 Florida Gators recruiting class continue to grow big and stronger. Coach Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators landed 2019 safety Trent Whittemore. Trent Whittemore made his verbal commitment public when he tweeted out that he will be committing to the University of Florida. Whittemore is Florida’s sixth commit in the 2019 class, and joins five-star commit Jaleel McRae among the Gators’ defensive back commits for that class. He also joins Tyrique Stevenson, John Dunmore, Jaquaze Sorrells and Frank Ladson Jr.

Trent Whittemore committed to the Gators very early in the recruiting process. He currently has five offers from Army, Florida, South Alabama, Troy and Tulane. Trent Whittemore currently attends F.W. Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. Even though he hasn’t been rated by 247 Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout, Trent Whittemore is still  a good player.

Trent Whittemore stand at 6’3 and weighs 190 pounds. That is terrific size for a defensive back whether he is a cornerback or safety. Trent does play both corner and safety in high school but most people believe he will be a safety at the next level. His frame is very impressive especially for a kid that is still a sophomore in high school and will likely continue to get bigger and stronger. This is a prospect Florida fans need to keep an eye on. Welcome to Gator Nation Trent! Chomp Chomp!
