Derrick Rose at one point in his career was one of the best point guards in the NBA. Rose’s career is one of the biggest what-ifs of all time, but because of numerous injuries since 2012 has robbed Derrick Rose of what he could have been.

Rose is younger than Steph Curry but with his decline, many would make you think he is around the age of Dwyane Wade. Rose’s career started off hot being drafted 1st overall in 2008 by his hometown team Chicago Bulls and would win the Rookie of the Year award, and lead the Bulls to the playoffs facing off against the Boston Celtics in an epic seven games series.

Rose would go on to play in three consecutive all-star games in 2010,2011 and 2012 and would be named to the All-NBA First team in 2011 and win the regular season MVP in 2011, Rose is the youngest player to ever win the MVP, winning it at the age of 22.

The 2012 playoffs are where everything started to go downhill for Rose. In game one of the 2012  playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers, Rose tore his ACL, this injury would cause him to miss the rest of the playoffs as well as the entire 2012-2013 season. Rose came back in the 2013-2014 season but would tear his meniscus in his right knee and was ruled out for the season.

Rose will be a free agent this upcoming offseason, he is still young only being 28 with his history of injuries slowing him down what will be Derrick Rose’s fate this offseason?
